Take the Pledge

It’s clear we all would have hoped for a more normal 2021. In 2020, small businesses in our community dealt with the most challenging circumstances possible. But it turned out that 2021 had its own troubles, too. The ongoing pandemic and weather events have affected foot traffic, customer preferences, staffing levels, operating hours, supply chains, and so much more.

Let’s all help turn that around. We can again make our support known by choosing to shop local. Most local establishments have maintained safety protocols for in-store shopping, and have invested in their online stores to offer easy shop-from-home options. Plus, many local shops may not have the supply chain issues the big box retailers currently do!

We can’t afford to lose any local restaurants, unique retailers, or important venues and non-profits. So let’s all take ownership of our community, and support local businesses more than ever in 2022.
